Offenbar befindet sich eine Extended Edition von Age of Mythology in Entwicklung, dies wurde in einem Live-Stream indirekt angekündigt (ab 43:41 Min.). Im Prinzip ist nur das Titelbild mit dem Extended-Schriftzug zu sehen - sowie Logos von Steam und den Microsoft Studios. Eine große Überraschung wäre diese Neuauflage nicht, schließlich gab es schon eine HD-Edition von Age of Empires 2. Eine offizielle Ankündigung steht aber noch aus.
