Guacamelee! wird offenbar auch für Xbox One und PlayStation 4 erscheinen, dies war einem mittlerweile nicht mehr verfügbaren Bericht bei IGN zu entnehmen. Die Umsetzung soll zwei neue Welten inkl. frischer Gegner umfassen, die Fähigkeit "Chicken-Bomb" hinzufügen und auch die Grafik-/Partikeleffekte verbessern. Laut dem Bericht soll das Spiel im Frühjahr 2014 zur Verfügung stehen. Eine offizielle Bestätigung steht aber noch aus.

"Drinkbox Studio's platforming puzzle game Guacamelee will launch on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Spring of 2014 and will feature new content, according to an IGN report that was published earlier today and has since been removed. (...) Polygon reached out to Drinkbox Studios for comment, to which they responded: 'What's Guacamelee?'"
